It's finally October, and that means Dwarfism Awareness Month! We have learned so much since Graeme was born almost 9 months ago, and we want to share a bit of that knowledge with everyone this month. We'll be posting facts about dwarfism on our Facebook account, and we hope that all of you will read and share in order to raise awareness.
When Graeme was diagnosed with achondroplasia, it was definitely a surprise to us. Like many others, we thought dwarfism had to be inherited (not true!). However, he has proven to us over the past few months that though he may be smaller than an average height child, he is full of determination to overcome any obstacles!
Also, October 25th is National Dwarfism Awareness Day. On this day, we ask all our friends and family to wear green to show your support for Graeme and others with dwarfism.
Thanks to everyone for the support you've provided us on our journey so far!
